I am writing on behalf of my sister and nephew. My sister is a single mom with a 10 yr old son. All his life my sister has supported him financially physically and emotionally all the way. My sister was able to send her son to a private christian school all his life but due to financial difficulties she was forced to send him to public school last year. Now don't get me wrong, I do not have a problem with public school but my nephew loves his old school and was so involved with the school band, choir etc. My sister promised him that she would send him back to his old school this year, but unfortunately she was denied the Florida Pride scholarship program because she is making a couple hundred dollars more than what is required for qualification. I would really appreciate you sending me any information available in regards to obtaining a scholarship for my nephew.
Thank you,

Some suggestions: contact local service clubs (like Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions), fraternal organizations (like Elks, Eagles, Moose), military-related organizations (like VFW, American Legion) and social groups to inquire about such funding availability. There may be other types of groups locally that may sponsor scholarships. Perhaps check with your local Community Foundation. Watch the newspapers for opportunities of this nature. Does the private school have any funding available? Hope this info was helpful.
