Greetings, grant wranglers!
My little save-the-world non-profit, NextVista.org, has launched a 90-second video contest for teachers called Gateway to Creativity, which we encourage you to consider. The finalists will be shown to an audience at METC in St. Louis in February, and the audience will choose a winner. The deadline is Feb. 3rd, and the details can be found here:

We also have our winter student contest, Waves of Creativity, in motion, though the deadline is near: Jan. 10th. Finalists for this one will be shown and a winner chosen at the CLS conference in Monterey in January. We typically get notably fewer submissions to our winter contests, and therefore anyone who can get something to us in time (which followed our rules) has a relatively good shot at making the finalist round! Find the details here:

Finally, we have a project going that encourages students to tell video stories of community and service running for the next few months. This project includes a contest component, too. While it is focused on Rotary-sponsored groups (Interact and Rotaract clubs), others can enter, as well. If a video story telling what is special about your community or about someone who makes life better for others is of interest to you, please go to the link below and learn more:
If curious, feel free to send questions to us at: videos@nextvista.org
Thanks!
