My name is Sharon Jackson. I have been involved with grant writing in various capacities for many, many years, so I made it official and received my grant writing consultant certification April 2009.

Greetings,

I'm an independent (external) program evaluator (www.eval.org), and over the past five years I managed the evaluation of a state grant that funded over one-hundred alternative education programs serving students in nearly 500 school districts in Ohio (http://cle.osu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2006year-endreport.pdf).

As a consultant, most of my grant writing has been as co-author with school personnel who requested technical assistance in grant writing as well as successfully implementing and/or evaluating their programming. I very much enjoy working collaboratively on such projects.

I'm always looking for new opportunities to collaborate with schools and/or school districts. I enjoy helping build local capacity, and I specialize in creating low-cost, sustainable, local evaluation systems that inform quality improvement and provide information useful for future grant writing.

Hello! I am a semi-retired educator and have written and secured a few grants in my educational career. I have been an educator for the past 20 years and in 2006 became a national board certified teacher in CATE with a specialty in technology education. I am thrilled that this forum has been created to bring like-minded people together for the common goal of improving the quality of our educational programs. I have been reading a lot of personal growth books this past summer and now firmly believe that we get everything in this world we consciously and subconsciously think about - and if I choose to think about abundance of resources and funding, I will find it, regardless of circumstances. My goal this year is to find $50K in funding to afford 1) robotics competition entries 2) mobile lab 3) field trips 4) connex shipping container to store recyclables 5) anything else that comes to mind :)
