Grants for library furniture

Our small, rural library is in desperate need of new tables and chairs - ours are from the 70's and in BAD shape. The problem is the same as most everyone else's - our budgets have been slashed, and furniture is not a priority and not something that you see many groups offering to give grants for. However, I am in hopes that this group can help me find a source of funding for that purpose. So has anyone had any luck with this kind of thing or know of someone who has and where they got the money?

just joined this because of searching for the same thing - anyone out there with good grant sources that will help fund library furnishings? thanks, Liz

We received a grant from the UN 1% for Development Fund for purchasing furniture, Now we need more money to purchase library funiture for the young readers. Kasozi Frederick, Kyabutaika Community Library (Uganda).
