At NSTA Awards we have opportunities around several different type of awards for teachers and principals. The Vernier Technology Awards offer grant like awards where you win $1000 in Vernier products, $1000 cash award, and up to $1000 to attend the NSTA National Conference on Science Education. The deadline is not until November 30th, which gives you plenty of time to complete the award packet. You may submit this on-line as well. There are many other awards that you could use the cash award for materials for your school. There is also the DCAT Award which also operates similar to a grant. It awards $2500 to a school to further the science program in the application, and offers paying expenses for one teacher and administrator to attend the NSTA National Conference on Science Education. For either of these awards you do not need to be a member of NSTA. Please go to our website and look through the various awards. The web address is: www.nsta.org/awards
