55 versus 446

This site boasts 446 members yet only 55 of them are in specified groups. The site is harder to navigate due to the numbers and the inability to narrow a search. It would be nice to be able to search based on region, discipline (ie science), and alphabetically. I posted a reply re: a profile and thought it might be nice to add it to my page, but the option doesn't exist.
